Jets and Giants Will Use Neutral End Zones This Weekend

Due to the timing of Saturday's 4:30 p.m. Jets-Texans contest and Sunday's 1:00 p.m. Giants-Titans clash coupled with the rain expected this weekend, both teams have agreed to use neutral end zones. This will be the second time neutral end zones will be used — the first time occurred on Dec. 17-18, 2016 when the Jets hosted the Dolphins for a Saturday night contest and the Giants played the Lions early the following afternoon.

The end zones will consist of nine diagonal slash marks on the green turf. After the conclusion of the Jets game Saturday night, the MetLife Stadium operations team will have 12 hours to complete a building changeover. There have been 11 overnight changeovers since 2013 when the new end zone system was implemented.
