◊ Finished 733-of-1210 (60.6 percent) for 8,700 yards, 72 touchdowns and 35 interceptions in 46 games (35 starts) in four seasons at Tennessee…Also rushed for one touchdown.

◊ As a senior, was 325-of-519 (62.6 percent), for 3,522 yards, 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in earning Draddy Award semifinal status and All-SEC honorable mention.

◊ As a junior, was 233-of-348 passes (66.3%) for 2,989 yards, 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions…Academic All-SEC choice in each of his first three seasons and was a semifinalist for the Manning and O’Brien Awards.

◊ Started five games his sophomore year, throwing for 737 yards on 66-of-145 tosses (45.5%) with five touchdowns and seven interceptions.

◊ Played in nine games, starting six as a true freshman … Finished completing 109-of-198 passes (55.1%) for 1,452 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions… Second-team Freshman All-American and Offensive Freshman of the Year by The Sporting News as well as Freshman All-SEC.

◊ Father, Doug, played basketball at BYU, and is a college basketball coach at Linfield College.

◊ Uncle, Danny Ainge, who also played basketball at BYU, is the GM of the Boston Celtics…Danny played major league baseball and played and coached in the NBA… Ainge’s cousin, Austin, Danny’s son, also played basketball at BYU.

◊ Grandfather, Don Ainge, was drafted by the Boston Red Sox.

◊ Garnered Street & Smith’s All-American preseason honorable mention as a basketball guard at Glencoe HS… averaged 16.4 ppg as a junior.
