2008 (JETS) Saw action in all 16 games, making starts at right cornerback in the first 10 games…Finished with 58 tackles, one interception, five forced fumbles and 17 passes defensed. SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: (12/21 at SEA)… Recorded a career-best two forced fumbles…With 10:34 remaining in the second quarter, stripped TE Will Heller… The ball was recovered by teammate DB Darrelle Revis...His second forced fumble of the day came later in the quarter with SEA threatening to score inside the Jets five-yard line, Lowery stripped FB Leonard Weaver. (11/30 vs. DEN)…Recorded first career interception (QB Jay Cutler) leading to a 30-yard Jay Feely field goal with 7:13 remaining in the third quarter. (11/9 vs. STL)… Recorded a forced fumble for the second consecutive week, with 5:44 remaining in the first half that led to a 46-yard Jay Feely field goal. (11/2 at BUF)Forced a fumble with 1:59 remaining in the fourth quarter. (9/28 vs. ARI)… Registered a career-high nine tackles (eight solo)…Added one pass defensed and a forced fumble. ◊ In 25 games at San Jose State, all starting assignments, Lowery picked 13 passes, gaining 147 yards in returns with one score…Added 315 yards and a touchdown on 24 punt returns and deflected 14 passes…Also recovered three fumbles and posted 92 tackles (53 solos).

◊ First team AFCA All-American, All-WAC selection and Lott Trophy quarterfinalist in 2007, when he started all 12 games at CB, logging 44 tackles (30 solos)…Deflected seven passes and intercepted four passes for 36 yards, including a 24-yard interception for a touchdown vs. Colt Brennan and Hawai’i.

◊ Recorded a school-record nine interceptions in 2006, logged interceptions in four straight games and had three picks vs. Cal Poly…Earned AFCA, FWAA All-America honors, third team AP All-America honors and All-WAC honors.

◊ In two seasons at Cabrillo College, he picked off 13 passes in 15 games as a free safety, scoring twice…Also scored on a blocked punt, a blocked field goal and a kickoff return, handling ten kickoffs for 300 yards…Recorded 95 tackles with two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and six pass breakups…Rushed once for an 18-yard gain.

◊ Two-time All-Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League pick as a defensive back, adding All-League accolades as a running back during his senior campaign.

◊ At Soquel HS, set the county record with seven touchdowns in a single game vs. Sacred Heart.

◊ Helped raise funds for Lupus research by participating in the ALR Long Island Walk With Us to Cure Lupus in 2008.
