2007 (JETS) Had career highs with five receptions and 45 receiving yards and career-long 29-yard reception and added two tackles on kick coverage in Week 16 at TEN. ... Started at WR, then took NFL-most eight snaps at QB, rushing three times for 10 yards and throwing first pro pass (fourth-down incompletion to TE Chris Baker) in Week 15 at NE. ... Had career-long 19-yard TD reception and had three carries for 6 yards in Week 13 at MIA. ... Recorded team-high and career-high three ST tackles in Week 8 vs. BUF. ... Made first career TD catch on 16-yard throw from Chad Pennington to give Jets 14-7 lead in second quarter of Week 5 at NYG. ...

2006 (JETS) Caught two passes for 8 yards in AFC Wild Card Game at NE. ... Rushed twice for 23 yards in Week 17 win vs. OAK, which included 3-yard run on third-and-2 from QB position. ... Recorded 32-yard rush, Jets' season long, in Week 13 win at GB. ... In Week 6 win vs. MIA, lined up at QB and WR, and was named Jets’ special teams player of the week after he recorded three ST tackles. ... In Week 4 loss vs. IND, went under center for fourth-down conversion run.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS


■ Selected by Jets in fourth round (103rd overall) of 2006 NFL Draft.

BEFORE THE NFL


■ Became first player in NCAA history to pass for 8,000 yards and rush for 4,000 yards in a career.

■ Ended collegiate career ranked fourth on all-time NCAA career total offense chart with 13,088 yards.

■ Holds Missouri's career marks for rushing TDs (42) and passing scores (56).

■ With 2,304 passing yards and 1,301 rushing yards in 2005, became first player in NCAA I-A history to achieve 2,000-1,000 mark twice in a career (also did it as redshirt freshman in 2002).

■ Posted 16 of Tigers' 26 rushing scores in 2005 while also converting nearly 60 percent of his pass attempts for another 13 TDs.

■ Led Mizzou to 2005 Independence Bowl comeback victory with 432 yards of total offense, including 282 yards passing (one TD) and 150 yards rushing (three TDs).

■ Ended college career with 69 different Mizzou, Big 12 and NCAA game, single-season and career records.

■ Earned All-Big 12 first-team honors from The Associated Press as all-purpose back and was All-Big 12 second-team pick as QB by league's coaches.

■ Two-time all-state selection and two-time all-city Offensive Player of the Year at Chaney HS in Ohio, where he threw for more than 2,700 yards and 34 TDs and rushed for more than 1,200 yards and 19 TDs,

■ Also earned all-city honors on the basketball court.

OFF THE FIELD


■ Earned undergraduate degree in business administration in May 2005 and took graduate-level courses in 2005-06.

■ Earned prestigious National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award, which comes with $18,000 postgraduate scholarship, and was one of 16 finalists for Draddy Award, a.k.a. "the Academic Heisman.”

■ Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

■ Has visited several local hospitals during time with Jets.
