BEFORE THE NFL

■ Earned All-Mountain West Conference first-team honors and was named USA Today All-America honorable mention as Utah senior after starting 10 games, recording 36 tackles, four PDs and one INT, and helped lead Utes to 2005 Fiesta Bowl as part of the BCS.

■ As a junior, played in all 12 games (nine starts) at DT and collected 29 tackles, two sacks and one FR.

■ Signed letter of intent with Utah in 1997, then left for a Latter Day Saints church mission to Pittsburgh (1998-2000).
