2006 (JETS) Became 10th player in Jets postseason history to record 100-yard receiving game, catching four passes for 100 yards and a TD in AFC Wild Card loss at NE, with 77-yard TD reception establishing career long and Jets postseason long. … Led team in both receptions, with career-high nine, and receiving yards, with 99, and caught team-leading fifth receiving TD in Week 13 win at GB. … Had 7-110 receiving, second 100-yard receiving game of career, in Week 12 win vs. HOU. … Was Jets’ offensive player of the week after catching six passes for 70 yards, including 22-yard TD, in Week 10 win at NE. ... BEFORE THE NFL
■ Broke school career records with 200 receptions and 15 100-yard receiving games, both previously held by Torry Holt (1995-98), and finished second to Holt in NCSU history with 3,119 yards and 21 TD catches.
■ Tied for second in ACC history for 100-yard receiving games and ranks fourth in both career receptions and career receiving yards.
■ Joined FSU’s Peter Warrick as only two receivers in ACC history to record 200 career receptions and 3,000 career receiving yards.
■ Had 86 receptions and 1,369 yards as senior, both second-highest in ACC and school history, topped only by Holt.
■ Attended Phillips HS (Birmingham, AL), where he played both ways as senior, pulling down 39 catches for 1,008 yards and 13 TDs offensively and notching five INTs and one TD defensively.
■ Four-year letter-winner in basketball as shooting guard, competing vs. future Wolfpack teammate QB Philip Rivers and current teammate Kerry Rhodes.
