On the sack, he forced a Brady fumble to seal the win on the last play of the game.
2005 (JETS) Missed consecutive games, three in all, for first time in his career due to injury…Recorded seven tackles, a QB pressure forcing a throwaway, and a sack in Week 6 loss at BUF.
2004 (JETS) Finished Jets’ 20-17 OT victory in AFC Wild Card Game at SD with eight tackles and one QB pressure. ... ■ Selected by Jets in first round (12th overall) of 2000 NFL Draft as first of four first-round draft picks the Jets had that year. John Abraham (13th), Chad Pennington (18th) and Anthony Becht (27th) were also selected.
BEFORE THE NFL
■ Finished collegiate career with 105 tackles, 12.5 sacks, three FF, a FR and an INT, which he returned 90 yards for a TD.
■ Selected All-SEC first team as senior at Tennessee, where he started every game at LE, recorded 42 tackles, team-high 8.5 sacks (for minus-82 yards) and 11 stops behind line of scrimmage (for minus-25 yards). Also, had a PD and two FR.
■ Ranked among nation’s top 100 prospects by Scholastic Coach Magazine, adding all-state honors twice and all-region accolades three times at Westside (SC) HS.
