Ron Heller
Assistant Offensive Line

◊ Ron Heller returns for his second season as the assistant offensive line coach. Last season, he teamed with Mike Devlin to help an offensive line that saw two new starters for the first time since the 2008 campaign as the Jets finished 2013 sixth in the league in rushing, gaining 134.9 yards per game.

◊ In 2011, the Jaguars offensive line paved the way for running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who led the NFL with a franchise-record 1,606 rushing yards.

◊ In 2010, his group helped pave the way for the league’s third-ranked rushing offense, averaging 149.7 yards per game, and fifth in yards per carry (4.7), despite having just two offensive linemen start all 16 games. Jones-Drew finished the season with the fifth-most rushing yards in the NFL (1,324).

◊ Prior to his two-year stint with the Jaguars, Heller spent four years coaching in the Canadian Football League and NFL Europe, including stops with the Amsterdam Admirals (2004, 2006-07) and Toronto Argonauts (2009).

◊ Following his playing career, Heller was named assistant offensive line coach of the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe in 2004. The team reached the World Bowl game in 2006, the same season he was promoted to offensive line coach. Heller returned to the Admirals as offensive coordinator/offensive line coach in 2007.
