Dennard Wilson joined the Jets staff as the team’s defensive backs coach on January 18th, 2017 after five seasons with LA|SL.

With the Rams, Wilson held the defensive backs coach position for the last two seasons, overseeing a passing defense that improved from 23rd in 2015 to ninth overall in 2016. Since 2015, cornerback Trumaine Johnson has picked off eight passes, tied for the fifth most in the league and third most among corners. Before spending the last two seasons as the defensive backs coach, Wilson worked as the Rams defensive quality control coach after joining the team in 2012.

Wilson entered the NFL coaching ranks with SL after four years as a pro scout with CHI, evaluating pro players and scouting opponents.
