■ Jim O’Neil spent the past three seasons serving as recruiting coordinator and safeties coach at Eastern Michigan University.
■ In 2005 he was defensive coordinator, defensive backs coach and punt return coach at Towson University.
■ In 2003-04 he was a graduate assistant at Northwestern, where he worked with the defensive backs.
■ In 2002 he was assistant offensive line coach at Penn, which won the Ivy League title.
■ Prior to his time with the Quakers, he was assistant offensive line/tight ends coach at Albany.
PLAYING CAREER
■ O'Neil was a three-year starter as a defensive end at Towson, where he was a captain in 2000.
■ He played at Central Bucks West HS, where Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine Jr. was an assistant coach for legendary coach Mike Pettine Sr. O'Neil, a two-way lineman and senior captain, helped the Bucks go 31-4 and win three consecutive Suburban One League National Conference championships from 1994-96.

■ O'Neil and his wife, Stacy, have a son, Danny.
