The native of Dixon, California completed his career as the school's all-time leading sack leader with 30.5 sacks and ranks second in Bruins history with 43.5 tackles for losses.

Ball was a 2003 first-team All-America selection by Football Writers Association, American Football Coaches Association, The Walter Camp Football Foundation and The Sporting News. And was also the 2003 ABC-Chevrolet National Defensive Player of the Year, in addition to being a first-team All-Pac 10 honoree and the recipient of the Morris Trophy as the Pac-10's top lineman after he set school and conference records with 16.5 sacks as a senior.
