CAREER TRANSACTIONS
Selected by the Jets in the sixth round (182nd overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft. The selection was obtained from OAK as part of the trade in which the Jets obtained TE Doug Jolly a second round selection (#47) as well another sixth round selection (#185 overall) in exchange for the Jets’ selection in the first round (#26).
CAREER
Played in 12 games and made four starts as a rookie finishing with 81 carries for 302 yards and two TD along with eight receptions for 66 yards. Became the first RB other then Curtis Martin to start a game since 1998 in the Jets12/11/05 game vs. OAK.
2006 SEASON (JETS)
Rushed once for no yards in the Wild Card Playoff Game loss at NE.
Returned to the lineup and started for the first time this season in the week 17 win vs. OAK, rushing 16 times for 44 yards.
Listed as inactive for the week 16 win at MIA.
Gained 53 yards on 21 carries, including a six-yard touchdown in the week 15 win at MIN. Set a new career-high in yards (330 yards) surpassing his rookie season total of 302.
Carried 18 times, gaining 50 yards, and had one reception for seven yards in the week 14 loss vs. BUF.
Earned Jets’ Offensive Player of the Week honors after recording his first career 100-yard rushing game. In the game, he collected 105 yards on 22 carries while also notching a career-high two rushing TDs and caught three passes for 24 yards in the week 13 win at GB.
Scored his second touchdown of the season (1-yard run), while rushing for 13 yards on 11 carries in the week 12 win vs. HOU.
Returned to the lineup and led the Jets in rushing with 50 yards on 11 carries in the week 11 loss vs. CHI.

Led the Jets with 49 rushing yards on 12 carries in the week four loss vs. IND.

2005 SEASON (JETS)
Posted 16 rushing attempts for 55 yards, one for a three-yard TD, and collected a six-yard reception in the week 17 win vs. BUF.
Had five rushes for 14 yards, a reception for two yards and played on special teams in the week 16 loss vs. NE.
In the week 15 loss at MIA he recorded career highs in rushing yards (84), receptions (4) and receiving yards (40). He also had his longest rush (17 yards), his longest reception (16 yards) and played on special teams.
Made his first NFL start at RB filling in for an injured RB Curtis Martin (knee) and rushed for 74 yards on 28 carries. Also notched his first NFL TD on a two-yard run and had a KOR for no gain in the week 14 win vs. OAK. Houston became the first RB since Leon Johnson in 1998 other than Martin to start a game for the Jets.
In the week 13 loss at NE he tallied an 11-yard reception and played on special teams.
Posted five rushes for 12 yards and played on special teams as CB Justin Miller’s lead blocker on the KOR team in the week 12 loss vs. NO.
In the week 11 loss at DEN he made his first career reception from QB Vinny Testaverde for seven yards and saw action on special teams.
Had 10 carries for 53 yards and played on special teams in the week 10 loss at CAR.
Posted his first career offensive stats with 10 rushing yards on two carries and played on special teams as KR Justin Miller’s lead blocker in the week nine loss vs. SD.

COLLEGE/HIGH SCHOOL
Led Tennessee in rushing two of his four seasons and was the first Vol since Jay Graham in 1995-96 to lead UT in rushing over consecutive seasons.
Had his best statistical year as a senior as he finished with 1,005 yards and eight TD on 181 carries along with 180 yards on 16 receptions.
Started 10-of-12 games played as a junior and finished with 744 rushing yards on 149 carries. Rushed for 321 yards in season’s first two games gaining 161 yards on 19 carries in opener against Fresno State.
Saw action in 12 games with eight starts and led the Vols with 779 rushing yards. In eight healthy games, carried for 763 yards and six TD. Played the final four games while battling thigh and thumb injuries.
Played in 13 games as a freshman and finished as the Vols’ second-leading rusher with 106 yards and one TD.
