Was inactive with an injury (fractured right foot) in weeks six through 15.
Had three rushes for one yard, a reception for three yards and saw time on special teams before leaving the game with a fractured right foot in the week five win vs. TB.
In the week two division win vs. MIA he tallied two rushes for 14 yards.

2004 SEASON (KC)
Saw action in 12 games, making five starts and finished the season with 118 carries for 539 yards (4.6 avg.) and eight TD on the ground while catching 25 passes for 246 yards and one TD. Also recorded one kickoff return for 22 yards and four special teams’ tackles.
Carried the ball 14 times for 51 yards (3.6 avg.) and a TD, while adding two receptions for 22 yards before he suffered a sprained ankle in game 13 at TEN forcing him to be inactive for the final three games vs. DEN, OAK and at SD.
Finished with 12 carries for 37 yards (3.1 avg.) and three receptions for 37 yards with a 20-yard TD reception in game 12 at OAK.
In game 11 vs. SD he recorded eight rushes for 57 yards (7.1 avg.) with two TD and three receptions for 21 yards.
Registered 58 yards on 19 carries along with 33 yards on five receptions in game 10 vs. NE.
Made his first-career start in game nine at NO and recorded a career-high 33 rushes for a personal-best 186 yards (5.6 avg.) with one TD and three receptions for 38 yards on his way to being named FedEx Ground Player of the Week. His 186 rushing yards ranked as the fifth-highest single-game total in Chiefs history. Finished with 19 carries for 90 yards with a career-high four TD and recorded three receptions for 46 yards in game six vs. Atlanta. The four rushing TD tied a KC single-game high. Combined with teammate Priest Holmes to become the first pair of RB in NFL history to each score four rushing TD in the same game.
2003 SEASON (KC)
Played in 16 games on special teams, seeing duty in 15 contests as a reserve RB and finished with 22 carries for 112 yards (5.1 avg.), two TDs and 15 catches for 181 yards (12.1 avg.) with one touchdown. Also had one kickoff return for 32 yards and was tied for third on the Club with 16 special teams’ tackles.
Rushed two times for a three-yard loss and had an 11-yard reception in the club’s AFC Divisional Playoff Game vs. IND.
Caught five passes for a career-high 106 yards (21.2 avg.), including a career-long 63-yard TD catch and carried the ball twice for seven yards in game 14 vs. DET.
Had a then career-long 25 yard TD run in game 11 vs. OAK and finished the day with three carries for 40 yards and a TD along with three receptions for 13 yards.
Scored his first NFL TD on a 20-yard run in the fourth quarter in game three at HOU.
Recorded a career-high three special teams’ tackles and carried the ball once for 19 yards in game two vs. PIT.
2002 SEASON (KC)
Appeared in 12 games on special teams and eight games on offense and finished with 16 carries for 72 yards (4.5 avg.) and five catches for 47 yards (9.4 avg.). Also returned three kickoffs for 49 yards (16.3 avg.) and recorded eight special teams’ tackles.
Finished the season at OAK with three rushes for 17 yards and catching his first five NFL passes for a team-high 47 yards at OAK. Also returned a career-high two kickoffs for 30 yards.
Recorded two special teams’ tackles along nine yards on three carries in game 13 vs. STL.
Recorded his first NFL carry for four yards and returned his initial NFL kickoff for 19 yards in game seven vs. DEN.
