Signed with the Jets on 5/28/04.
Selected by the Jets in the seventh round (234th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft.

CAREER

Has played in 25 NFL regular-season games in addition to two postseason contests. In his two seasons he has recorded 34 tackles along with eight tackles on special teams.

2005 SEASON (JETS)

In the week 17 win vs. BUF he saw action on defense collecting a solo tackle and a QB pressure, and played on special teams.
Notched two tackles (one solo) and a QB pressure in the week 16 loss vs. NE and saw action on special teams.
In the week 15 loss at MIA he played solely on special teams.
In the week 14 win vs. OAK he saw time on defense and special teams.
Recorded no statistics while seeing limited time on defense in the week 13 loss at NE.
In the week 12 loss vs. NO he saw action on defense recording a solo tackle.
Played on defense notching a career-high six tackles (two solo) and saw action on special teams in the week 11 loss at DEN.
In the week 10 loss at CAR he saw limited action on defense and collected a solo special teams tackle.
Inactive for weeks four through nine.
Was inactive for weeks two and three due to a head injury suffered at KC.
In the week one loss at KC he saw action on special teams helping to hold the Chiefs to 39 return yards.

2004 SEASON (JETS)

Registered three tackles on defense and one on special teams in the Jets’ third consecutive OT game, a 20-17 Divisional playoff loss at PIT.
Saw time on both defense and special teams and recorded one tackle on special teams in the Jets’ 20-17 OT Wild Card victory at SD.
Posted a career-high five tackles on defense in the Jets’ 23-7 game 15 loss to NE.
Recorded a then career-high four defensive tackles, the first since his one-tackle performance in his NFL debut on opening day against CIN, and one special teams tackle in the game nine OT loss vs. BAL.
Participated on special teams in his first career game and posted one tackle on defense in game one vs. CIN.

COLLEGE/HIGH SCHOOL

Played in 46 games (36 on defense and 10 on offense) making 22 starts, recording 131 tackles with 7.5 sacks, three FR, one FF and four PD while at Nebraska.
Selected Academic All-America and Academic All-Big 12 Conference as a senior after finishing the season with 68 tackles, four sacks, three PD, two FF and one blocked punt.
Started nine games (six at RE and three at LE) as a junior and finished with 54 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one FR and one PD.
In his sophomore year Johnson switched to rush end from TE in the spring and played in all 12 games, primarily on special teams as a member of the KOR team. Credited with nine tackles on the season.
Played in 10 games as a backup TE as a freshmen and missed the Iowa game because of a hamstring pull.
Played TE and DE for Northeast High. Missed most of his junior year with a broken leg but returned for an outstanding senior season, catching 42 passes for 736 yards and 10 TD.
Was a force on defense finishing with 54 tackles, seven sacks, eight PD and three defensive TD.
Helped his school to its first state semifinal appearance in 16 seasons and a 10-2 record.
Earned super-state honors as a TE from Lincoln Journal Star and All-Nebraska first-team defensive honors from the Omaha World-Herald.

OFF-THE-FIELD

Trevor’s father was a three-time captain for the ‘Husker wrestling team, earning four letters (1973-1976), and is a member of the NU Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Majored in Finance while attending Nebraska.
