BEFORE THE NFL
• Four-year starter at Northern Illinois, setting school records in receptions (204), receiving yards (2,991) and TD (29) and ranking fourth on all-time list in total TD (30). Is one of only three players in school history to gain more than 4,000 all-purpose yards (4,367).
• Ranked fourth in nation in receiving yards per game (106.0) and all-purpose yards per game (183.1) and third in PR avg. (19.1). Became second player in NIU history to record over 2,000 all-purpose yards in season (73 rushing, 1,168 receiving, 411 KR, 362 PR).
• Selected to all-conference, all-area and all-state first teams during senior season at Naperville (IL) North HS, catching 34 passes for 644 yards with five TD and returning 21 kickoffs for 438 yards.
• Lettered in track and basketball and earned All-DuPage Valley Conference first-team and Loop Player of Year honors as senior.
