The pride of Brooklyn, where he attended Abraham Lincoln High, Sid is an established veteran of pro football. With 7 seasons under his belt, he is second only to quar- terback AI Dorow in terms of service. For six years he was a defensive regular with the 4gers, the Eagles and the Browns. Prior to that, Sid put in three seasons of varsity football at Alabama, gaining All-Southeastern Conference recognition as the team captain in 1953. He also played in three Bowl games with the Crimson Tide. The Titans surrendered a 1960 draft choice to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for negotiation rights to the massive lineman. At 265-pounds the heaviest man on the squad, Sid teams with Saidock to plug up the center of the line. Together, their 525 pounds of choice beef present an impregnable barrier. Youngelman is also a terror at bulling through the line and pressuring the offense. When he's not playing football, Sid teaches school in Brooklyn.
