A ball-hawking and tenacious CB, Smith has made great strides in the past few seasons and is a fixture (32 consecutive regular season starts the past 2 seasons) in the team's secondary ... aggressive in rush support, as his 70 tackles tied Bryan Cox for 3rd on the team in 1998 ... recorded a big play in the post-season when he intercepted JAX Qb Mark Brunnell in the 2nd quarter of the Jets' divisional playoff win.
