In his seven years as a pro, Fournet is currently with his fourth team. However, he seems to have finally found his spot with the Jets. Fournet was a highly regarded All-American lineman when he graduated from L.S.U. in 1954. He was a high draft choice of the Los Angeles Rams where he played middle linebacker and defensive end for two seasons. He was then traded to Pittsburgh where he operated as an offensive guard. Fournet played the following two years with the Dallas Texans before he was secured by New York before the 1962 season began. He immediately filled a hole on the offensive line where he played both guard and tackle. Fournet lives in Bogalusa, La., and is a car salesman in the off-season.
