Roger Ellis - #56 - C - Maine - Profile

One of the most versatile operatives on the Titan squad, Roger is serviceable at offensive guard, center and linebacker. Since professional clubs are permitted to carry only a limited number of players during the regular season, a performer of varied talents, like Ellis, becomes of prime importance. The bruising lineman is capable of holding a regular position, but Coach Baugh has seen fit to shift him as the need arises. Roger gained All-Maine, All-Yankee Conference and Little All-New England rankings at Maine in 1958, as well as the team's Most Valuable Player award. Ellis's home is in Westwood, Mass. Offseason he works for the state as a civil engineer.
