The versatile Christy was New York's busiest player last season. He was the club's top runner and ranked 9th in the AFL by carrying 114 times for 535 yards, an average of 4.6 a run. He was also the team's second leading receiver, catching 62 passes for 538 yards, third best in the loop. Christy topped.the AFL in punt returns, running back 15 kicks for 250 yards, incIuding a 73- yard run, longest of the season. The eight touchdowns he scored put him in a second place tie with Don Maynard. Dick has the knack to get extra yardage on his runs. Coach Ewbank is well pleased with his enthusiasm and willingness to work. Christy came to New York in '61 and made the All-Star squad last year.
