Added to.the Titan roster after the start of last season, Dan shaped up as a capable offensive guard and a valuable defensive replacement, both on the rushline and as a linebacker. The big Ohioan, a native of Cuyahoga Falls, was an outstanding all-round athlete in high school. He attended Wooster College from 1956-58 and was a top lineman there. Then he transferred to the University of Akron and put in another fine varsity season. Although he had another year of college eligibility left, he elected to go pro and signed with the Cleveland Browns. He played with them during the early part of last season, before switching to the Titans.
