LINDA: The Flight Crew, Hour by Hour

File Under: thanksgiving, Linda, Flight Crew

Hey, Jets fans! It’s Linda from the Flight Crew.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Time is just flying by these days. I can’t believe we only have two more home games this season. I am sure every Jet fan is enjoying this season just as much as I am. It is so exciting being a part of such a great team and an absolute dream to be a second-year member of the Flight Crew.

STEVE-O: One Very Important Business Trip

File Under: Jerricho Cotchery, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers

The Jets are about to embark on a key road trip and its importance is not lost on the team. The players I've spoken with are all very aware of what this week means and for what to prepare. A five-hour flight is no fun for any team. Players' body clocks are shifted, energy is low, and the team's timing is off.

Mangini on Consistency, Coaching Points

File Under: Eric Mangini, tight ends, Benjamin Watson, Tony Gonzalez, Denver Broncos, message boards, Bo Scaife

Eric Mangini opened his news conference today, less than a day after the Jets' 34-17 home loss to Denver, with a mea culpa.

"I really don't feel much differently than I felt after the game," the Jets head coach said. "None of the three phases played the way they're capable of playing. Obviously I need to do a better job of coaching."

That led Jane McManus of the Journal News to ask Mangini what … More

LYONS: No Jumping Off the Bandwagon

File Under: New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, AFC East, San Francisco 49ers

I know everyone is disappointed in the performance Sunday against the Broncos. I am. The weather was bad, the officiating was bad, the Jets were bad.

But it's just one game in a long season of 16 games. The Jets still are 8-4, still in first place in the AFC East and control their own destiny.

If I wanted to beat the Jets up after their loss to Denver, where would I start? But I won't. They have… More

'We Didn't Play the Way We Should Play'

File Under: Eric Mangini, Bryan Thomas, Brett Favre, Dustin Keller, Kris Jenkins, Denver Broncos, Jay Cutler

This was a tough one to read. This was not a garden-variety Jets locker room after a home loss from recent seasons. This was a 34-17 home loss to Denver after two of the greatest road victories in franchise history. And it clearly stung all involved, none less than the head coach.

"I was really disappointed with the way we played today," Eric Mangini said at the start of his postgame news confere… More
