Jets, 1050 ESPN Radio Extend Partnership

The New York Jets announced today a four-year extension of their radio broadcast partnership with 1050 ESPN New York (WEPN-AM) starting with the 2009 NFL season. 1050 ESPN Radio has been the Jets’ radio rights holder since the 2002 season.

“We are excited to extend our partnership with 1050 ESPN New York,” said Bob Parente, the Jets' vice president of broadcasting and programming. “We are looking forward to working with one of the best brands in sports broadcasting, ESPN, to give our fans increased access to the team through unique programming year-round."

Tim McCarthy, 1050 ESPN Radio president and general manager, said: “We are thrilled to continue to be the radio home of Jets football. The Jets have been outstanding business and programming partners and an integral part of the 1050 ESPN lineup. We are collaborating on many outstanding programming initiatives this season and look forward to announcing those soon.”
