Selected quotes from the Jets' and Buccaneers' locker rooms following the Jets' frustrating 15-10 loss to the Bucs at Raymond James Stadium this afternoon:

Head coach Todd Bowles on the struggles of his offense...
"Well, you have to give them credit first of all. They did a good job playing in our backfield. When the penalties didn't hurt us, they were in the backfield hurting us. We didn't play well overall on offense, defense or special teams. Nor did we coach well."

Bowles on how he explains the Jets playing so well vs. Buffalo compared to today's loss..."You don't explain. It's week by week. You have to show up every week in this league or you get it handed to you. We didn't show up today."

QB Josh McCown on what happened to the Jets in this game...
"I thought we had a great week of work. Coach Bowles had us ready to go. We didn't come down here and hold up our end of the bargain. We started slow and just didn't find the answers. We have to be better than that."

McCown on what the Jets do now...
"Shoot, man, reload. This is very disappointing. We've got the bye. We can kind of get a little work in and get off our feet, everybody get healthy, and then come back, put our best foot forward and get after it. I don't think anyone in this locker room, their confidence is shaken."

LB Jordan Jenkins on what surprised him about the Jets not playing well...
"I don't know, man. We just didn't land as many blows as they did. They won the unanimous decision. They landed more punches than we did."

WR Robby Anderson on if this was a particularly disappointing loss...
"Definitely. Losing's not part of our protocol. ... It's not just on one person. We're not going to point fingers. Everybody played a role in this loss."

S Marcus Maye on penalties continuing to be an issue for the team...
"It's tough. I feel like now we have that on us, so we just have to find a way to get it off. We're playing aggressive, but we just got to play clean and keep the penalties off us."

CB Morris Claiborne on how big the bye week will be for the rehab of his foot, which he reinjured in the game...
"It's definitely big. I'm really counting on this week. Like I said, it's been an every-day thing. It's gotten better and better and better. I felt like I could at least go out and play today. Like I said, I didn't want to hurt myself or hurt my team."

Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter on what led to his defense's six sacks...
"When Buffalo was red-hot a week ago Thursday and they played the Jets, the Jets were last in the league in sacks. They got seven in one game. We got six by six different guys today. I always think sacks, other than just one guy beating his guy clean, sacks usually come down to the coverage and the rush working in conjunction. It seemed like Josh McCown doesn't want to hold the ball and he had to hold the ball and then our rush was able to get home."

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick on leading the Bucs to victory over his team of the previous two seasons...
"Not that I don't have great friends spread around the NFL on the different teams that I've played on, but today, just standing on the other sideline and looking across and just seeing ... I mean, those guys that are still around that I played with, they're not just teammates to me, those are brothers. So it was kind of emotional standing on that side, looking across and even just seeing those people that work in that building. I mean, I had a great two years there in terms of the people that I met and just the day-to-day interactions. So that made it special to me to be able to win that game, but even just to see them and compete against them was special, too."
