The Green & White Hosted Their First-Ever Movie Night at MetLife Stadium on Wednesday

A week before Jets players reported to training camp at SUNY Cortland, the Green & White hosted their first-ever Movie Night at MetLife Stadium. More than 8,000 people attended Wednesday evening and watched The Lego Movie.

Families got cozy on the turf, laying blankets to take in the acclaimed animated motion picture. Others jumped into the seats in the stands after taking advantage of the free admission and free parking.

“This kind of turnout was exceptional,” said Neil Glat, President of the Jets. “We have a diverse fanbase with many interests, but everyone enjoys a night out at the movies. Our fans are excited for football to kick off and this was just one way this offseason we could bring people together for a free event to experience the Jets.”

The youth of Jets Nation was out in full force as they got their faces painted, took locker room tours and gobbled up enough popcorn for 5,000 people and more than 3,000 Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins. When popcorn supplies got low, Cracker Jacks were supplemented.
