Jets 2014 Schedule Announcement Wednesday 8 PM

Posted Apr 22, 2014

The Jets have known which opponents they’ll be facing in the 2014 regular season for quite some time. On Wednesday night we find out our full schedule.

At 8 p.m. ET, coinciding with the show airing on NFL Network, newyorkjets.com will reveal the order in which we face our opponents, on which days the matchups occur, and at what times those games kick off. Senior reporter Eric Allen will have head coach Rex Ryan and new Jets WR Eric Decker in a special Jets Talk Live schedule show beginning at 8 p.m.

Aside from the usual two games apiece vs. our AFC East foes, we will square off against the eight teams residing in the AFC East and NFC North divisions plus Pittsburgh and Tennessee.

Will the Jets extend their franchise record of Week 1 home games? We’ve opened our season at MetLife Stadium for each of the past four seasons, including last year's last-minute 18-17 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

And will we receive more than the two primetime games given to us last year? Last season’s Week 5 matchup at Atlanta on Monday Night Football marked the sixth year in a row that we played an ESPN game. NBC’s Sunday Night Football, however, hasn’t played host to the Green & White since Week 10 of the 2011 campaign.

These schedule questions and more will be answered tomorrow night.
