The New York Jets have signed wide receiver
Mason (5'10", 197), a 14-year NFL veteran with Tennessee and Baltimore, is the NFL’s leader among active wide receivers in receiving yards (11,891) and has 66 touchdowns on 924 receptions. He entered the league as a fourth-round selection of the Tennessee Oilers and spent eight seasons with the Oilers/Titans before being released. He spent the past six seasons with the Ravens before his release on July 28. He has played in 218 of a possible 224 games and posted eight 1,000-yard seasons.
Raynor (6'2", 235) enters the NFL after spending four seasons as East Carolina’s long-snapper from 2005-08.
Zinger (6'4", 254), a seventh-round selection by Atlanta in the 2008 NFL Draft, spent the 2008 season as member of the Falcons practice squad. He saw action in 15 games with two starts in 2009, then was waived by the Falcons on Sept. 4, 2010, and spent last season out of the NFL. A member of national championship teams at LSU in 2003 and 2007, he finished his college career with 15 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown.
Brown (6'3", 252) entered the NFL as a second-round choice by Arizona in the 2009 NFL Draft. He spent the 2009 season on injured reserve with the Cardinals before he was waived on Sept. 4, 2010. He joined the Jets practice squad on Sept. 8 and spent all 16 games and three postseason contests with the team.
Franklin (6'5", 252) joined the Jets as an undrafted free agent on July, 27 after a senior season at Iowa State in which he caught 54 passes for 530 yards and three touchdowns.
