Reminiscing About Climbs to the Summit

File Under: Monday Night Miracle, Vinny Testaverde, Dan Marino, Victor Green, Jumbo Elliott, AFC East, Chad Cascadden, Ernie Logan, Aaron Glenn

For my early Radar entry as I sit in my hotel room five floors above the Thursday morning street noise of downtown Providence, R.I., I thought I'd recall some instances in the past decade that compare to where the Jets will be sitting tonight — one win over New England away from sole possession of first place.

Classy Chad Gives 'Full Support' to Kellen

File Under: Chad Pennington, Eric Mangini, Kellen Clemens, Vinny Testaverde

Eric Mangini, in announcing the first really tough quarterback call of his two years as an NFL head coach this afternoon, said he "completely" respects Chad Pennington. And Pennington showed why that respect is merited when the eighth-year veteran took the podium in the Jets' media room shortly after that announcement and turned a QB controversy into a study in professionalism.

"This is the bad p… More
