Jets-Bills: Third Quarter

File Under: Chad Pennington, Chris Baker, Trent Edwards, Josh Reed

Not a great start on offense. Chris Baker has to make a nice play to prevent a short kickoff into the wind from being recovered by Buffalo. Then it appears the Bills outguess Chad Pennington and the Jets as the QB throws incomplete, is sacked for a yard loss, then can only find Thomas Jones for 6 yards.

Ben Graham airs out a punt with the wind for a 62-yard touchback, but the Bills' Mario Haggan … More

Jets-Bills: Some Leftover Pings

File Under: D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Trent Edwards, Ian Eagle, Solomon Wilcots, Dan Marino

Some random Radar thoughts while spending Tuesday rewatching the Sunday video:

Ian Eagle's become a very recognizable voice for Green & White fans. By my informal count, since 1998, Ian has done the CBS-TV play-by-play on 22 Jets games (and the Jets are 13-9 in those games). Throw in at least 16 preseason Jets games he has called for WCBS and Birdie's exposure rivals the 38 games Phil Simms has c… More

'The Tables Turn Sometimes'

File Under: Victor Hobson, Chris Baker, Marshawn Lynch, Trent Edwards

The Jets locker room was a tough one today. Even on the best of days, the Ralph Wilson Stadium visitors room is difficult to navigate: too small for an NFL team, especially after a game when garment bags and equipment duffels take up precious floorspace for players and reporters alike.

But on days like these, the place really shrinks around the players who are frowning and trying hard to make sen… More

Jets-Bills: Fourth Quarter

File Under: Kerry Rhodes, Marshawn Lynch, Trent Edwards, Rian Lindell

Buffalo gets to the 27 with Marshawn Lynch continuing his impressive running. But Lynch doesn't pick up the blitz well as Kerry Rhodes comes off the edge and Eric Barton barges up the middle. Trent Edwards isn't sacked, but he gets swarmed under as his batted pass falls incomplete. Then Rian Lindell comes on to nail a 46-yard field goal and the Bills go back on top with 10:49 left.

Jets-Bills: Third Quarter

File Under: Chad Pennington, David Harris, Marshawn Lynch, Trent Edwards

The two QBs, the veteran Pennington and the rookie Edwards, combined for 27 completions on 33 attempts in the first half. And through the first seven minutes, neither missed. Trouble is, the Bills D-line is starting to win the trench warfare against the Jets' O-line. On third-and-1, Thomas Jones is thrown for a 3-yard loss by LB Mario Haggan.

And then Edwards moves Buffalo to the Jets 5 with four… More
