Sights, Sounds on a Monday Morning

File Under: Chad Pennington, Blake Costanzo, Justin McCareins, Brett Ratliff

Scheduled for practice at 8:45 a.m. for the first time since a week ago today, the Jets came out of Weeb Ewbank Hall in a spirited mood.

When the music came on for team stretching, a pattern of unruly behavior began to unfold. Perhaps since that first track was “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, this should come as no surprise. QB Brett Ratliff played air guitar while Jonathan Vilma and Eric Barton punted… More

Chad Has a Way with the Vikings

File Under: Chad Pennington, Justin McCareins, Laveranues Coles, Minnesota Vikings

Whether Chad Pennington gets to throw a pass or not Friday night (one suspects he will), good things generally happen when the Jets quarterback takes on the Minnesota Vikings.

The White outfit appeared to put it away when Clemens spotted McCareins behind Andre Dyson and hit him for a 39-yard score on third down, giving th… More

Evenly Matched After One Half

File Under: Justin McCareins, Marques Tuiasosopo, Mike Nugent, Kellen Clemens, Alvin Banks

Kellen Clemens found Justin McCareins all alone down the sideline for a 66-yard touchdown pass for the only score of the first quarter, giving the White Team a 7-0 lead after the first quarter of today's Green & White game

CB Andre Dyson and S Rashad Washington were the DBs in the area, but neither was close enough to challenge McCareins' dash for the goal line.

But Marques Tuiasosopo, who took … More

A Low-Key Return to Practice

File Under: Justin Miller, Justin McCareins, Laveranues Coles, Eye of the Tiger

The Jets returned from Friday's day off, at least from practice, with another single afternoon training camp practice in 90-degree Hempstead heat.

Today's workout, not quite as long as Thursday's marathons, seemed subdued, more of a learning session with most of the team drills featuring half-speed pass rushes, more of a passing day. And the receivers were ahead of the defenders this time.
