EA: Super Memories at Namath Golf Tourney

File Under: Joe Namath, Bill Mathis, Larry Grantham, Dave Herman, Greg Buttle, March of Dimes, John Schmitt, Super Bowl III, Randy Beverly, Emerson Boozer, Winston Hill, Julius Erving

Throughout the years, I've heard the story often. My father started to tell it when I was just a young kid growing up in Buffalo, N.Y., and he repeated it yesterday when we spoke by phone after I attended the Joe Namath March of Dimes Celebrity Golf Tournament at Bethpage State Park on Long Island.

But I still trekked out from my Jersey shore palace because there was work to be … More

Boozer for Maynard; Schroy's Big Night

File Under: Don Maynard, Kenny Schroy, Marty Lyons, Jets Night at Shea, Emerson Boozer, Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame

I was really pleased earlier this week to announce that Pro Football Hall of Famer Don Maynard would be in attendance for Jets Night at Shea on Monday night. So I'm disappointed to have to report that Maynard had to withdraw from the bash the Mets are throwing in honor of the 20 seasons the Jets spent in Queens.
