LYONS: No Jumping Off the Bandwagon

File Under: New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, AFC East, San Francisco 49ers

I know everyone is disappointed in the performance Sunday against the Broncos. I am. The weather was bad, the officiating was bad, the Jets were bad.

But it's just one game in a long season of 16 games. The Jets still are 8-4, still in first place in the AFC East and control their own destiny.

If I wanted to beat the Jets up after their loss to Denver, where would I start? But I won't. They have… More

'We Didn't Play the Way We Should Play'

File Under: Eric Mangini, Bryan Thomas, Brett Favre, Dustin Keller, Kris Jenkins, Denver Broncos, Jay Cutler

This was a tough one to read. This was not a garden-variety Jets locker room after a home loss from recent seasons. This was a 34-17 home loss to Denver after two of the greatest road victories in franchise history. And it clearly stung all involved, none less than the head coach.

Jets-Broncos: Second Half

File Under: Brett Favre, Denver Broncos, Mario Haggan, Walt Coleman

The Jets stop the Broncos on the opening drive of the second half, but now comes our third officiating "situation" in this game. Ref Walt Coleman again upholds the call on the field.

The Jets start out at their … More

Jets-Broncos: First Half

File Under: Thomas Jones, Jerricho Cotchery, Leon Washington, Brett Favre, Denver Broncos

The rain is falling steadily — at times up here in the pressbox it looks as if it's falling at times almost horizontally. And a wet one is under way.

The weather seems to have affected the Jets and Broncos in their opening possessions. Brett Favre can't hook up on second and third downs with passes for his tight ends, Chris Baker and then Dustin Keller, and the Jets go three-and-out. More impor… More

Will Broncos, Weather Rain on Jets' Parade?

File Under: Meadowlands, Thomas Jones, David Harris, Eric Smith, Denver Broncos

The weather is the big, wet, soggy pregame story today. It's been raining all morning and afternoon in North Jersey, and that includes the Meadowlands, which despite its fine FieldTurf footing was tarped until a few hours before today's 4:15 p.m. EST kickoff.

Players are now warming up in the steady rain and the temps in the low 40s. There is no snow in the forecast but there is a rare 100 percen… More
