Franks Finds the End Zone at OTA Practice

File Under: Chad Pennington, David Harris, James Ihedigbo, Kellen Clemens, Kerry Rhodes, Brett Ratliff, Terrell Owens, Bubba Franks

Bubba Franks made his presence felt at today's OTA practice.

Every time you looked up, Franks, the 6'6", 265-pound tight end who came over from the Packers as a street free agent in March, was snagging a pass for six.

There were some nice snatches at helmet level or above from Chad Pennington in red zone drills. There was No. 88 reaching for a "touchdown" in the corner of the end zone on a zip… More

File Under: tennessee, Chad Pennington, Kellen Clemens, Erik Ainge, Marcus Henry

So what do we know about Erik Ainge?

Well, he's 6'5½", which never hurts when you're a quarterback about to embark on a career of peering over NFL linemen to find your receivers.

And he's the nephew of Celtics general manager Danny Ainge, so the bloodlines are strong.

And now he's the second quarterback with Tennessee ties and the second QB to hail from Oregon to join the Jets' roster.

Some Thoughts on Why NOT to Reseed

File Under: Chad Pennington, Wayne Chrebet, Jets Giants, playoff reseeding, league meetings

The NFL's competition committee is set to present playoff reseeding at next week's league meetings in Florida, and on the face of it, it seems like a good idea: Give the wild-card team the home field in a wild-card matchup if it has the better record than its division-winning opponent.
