Taking On a Defensive Issue

File Under: Eric Mangini, Shaun Ellis, Blake Costanzo, Kerry Rhodes, Chad Johnson, Kenny Watson

The weather at today's practice matched the mood of the team: overcast. The Jets worked outside again, next to the training bubble they rarely use even in the foulest weather, although it appeared that the rain crawling across Long Island fell before and after practice, leaving the players, like the sky, grim and gray.

"It's tough, man. A situation like this, it's not good," safety Kerry Rhodes, … More

Meaning of Jets-Giants for Costanzo

File Under: Wayne Chrebet, Blake Costanzo, Jets-Giants

This week, as it is every year at this time, a faction of reporters and fans wants the Jets-Giants game to be about regional rivalry, conference honor, brother vs. brother.

Sights, Sounds on a Monday Morning

File Under: Chad Pennington, Blake Costanzo, Justin McCareins, Brett Ratliff

The Ball Keeps Sticking to Stuckey

File Under: Chansi Stuckey, Blake Costanzo, Marques Tuiasosopo, Kellen Clemens, Alvin Banks

It was back to work on Sunday afternoon at Hofstra and for Chansi Stuckey, that meant a continuation of his fine play thus far in training camp. During the afternoon’s first set of 11-on-11 drills, the rookie wide receiver showed great athleticism and control adjusting on a low throw from quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo. He reached across his body while sliding toward the middle of the field to mak… More

Costanzo, McChesney Are Euro-Chic

File Under: Matt McChesney, Blake Costanzo, All-NFL Europa, first team

I just ran into Blake Costanzo in the parking lot of the Jets' training complex late this afternoon. He was leaving, I was coming back after rescuing my ride from the oil change emporium before it closed for the day.

Blake looked a little tired but a little happy. He was tired because he wasted no time in leaving Germany and making the conversion from CEST (Central European Summer Time) to EDT. H… More
