03/23 — If you get NFL Network and have some free time tonight, you might want to tune in. On this evening’s installment of “Total Access” at 7 p.m. ET, network correspondent Scott Hanson’s exclusive interview with Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels will air.

And to nobody’s surprise, the two men will talk about Jay Cutler. To promote the segment, NFL.com released a little tease this afternoon, a 1:22 video and an accompanying news story.

“He’s our quarterback, period,” McDaniels tells Hanson. “We can’t predict the future. He’s our quarterback, we want him to be our quarterback, we made that very clear to him and we hope he feels the same way.”

Cutler, who arguably owns the strongest arm in all of football, has requested that the Broncos trade him to another club. He was miffed that the Broncos had talks with New England about acquiring Matt Cassel before the Patriots shipped their 2008 interim starter to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The talented 25-year-old Cutler, who passed for 4,526 yards and 25 TDs last season, has a 17-20 record in his three years as a starter. Even though he’s never played a playoff game, he's had a most impressive start to his career in completing 62.5 percent of his passes for 9,024 yards with 54 TDs and 37 INTs. In addition to his obvious throwing prowess, Cutler has very good feet and showed a propensity for moving well outside the pocket.

Citing multiple unnamed sources, the New York Daily News reported today that the Jets would have interest in trading for Cutler if he were on the market. But to this date, the Green & White have publically maintained that they feel good about the trio of quarterbacks on their roster, Kellen Clemens, Brett Ratliff and Erik Ainge.
