03/04 — The first off-season of head coach Rex Ryan's New York Jets has begun with a flurry of activity, and one place to stay in touch with all the Green & White developments is with the exclusive and unique coverage of the team on SportsNet New York's "Jets Nation."

SNY, the official year-round TV home of the Jets, kicks off this season of "Jets Nation" on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. EST. Guests will be offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and newly signed inside linebacker Bart Scott, and the topics are naturals for this time of year: the unrestricted free agency signing period, the recently concluded NFL Combine workouts and the 2009 draft.

The season premiere will reair four times in the ensuing two weeks.

"This show has always been popular off-season viewing for our fans," said Bob Parente, the Jets' vice president of broadcasting and production, "and from what we're hearing and seeing, our fourth season of Jets Nation on SNY will be our best yet."

"randy, coverage when available has been quite serviceable. though i can remember at least 2 times since its inception that SNY "bumped" jets programming due to games going longer than expected and priority given to other shows, as i tivo'd JN and got sportsnite. sad the nfl won't allow teams to license/syndicate classic games to stations they have TV deals with. and why the decrease from 29 to 19?"

Randy Lange Said:

"In answer to your last question, the economy, perhaps? Also, a Mets game may have bumped a particular Jets Nation show but my point was that each show is reaired four times so there are five chances to see the show and all five are not going to be bumped in the show's one- or two-week cycle."
