File Under: Generaton JetsFest, Jets Shop tent, lightning, thunderstorms
07/29 — Severe thunderstorms rumbled through the Hempstead, N.Y., area shortly after the close of the Jets' morning training camp practice today. For a while, lightning was crackling all around the area.
It has just started raining and thundering again and weather.com is calling for scattered thunderstorms all afternoon and evening.
Due to the weather, today's afternoon practice, scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m., has been moved out of the Hofstra soccer stadium and will be closed to fans. Generation JetsFest and the Jets Shop tent in the parking lot behind the soccer stadium also are closed for the rest of the day. Check back with us for an update about Monday's single afternoon practice, which is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
