Game Trivia
■ Parilli became the first QB in franchise history to throw three TD passes in a quarter. Namath did it once and not until 1972, and it's happened only seven times since, most recently by Brett Favre, who did it twice in the same game vs. Arizona.
■ Miami ran for 163 yards, most against the Jets all season, led by rookie Jim Kiick's 13 carries for 62 yards and a 1-yard TD that gave the Dolphins a short-lived 17-14 fourth-quarter lead.
■ 'Fins rookie Jimmy Keyes opened the scoring with a short field goal, which was the only successful FG against the Jets in the last 11 regular-season games as opposing kickers went 1-for-8.
Quote Now
John Dockery on Namath's third interception-less outing in four games: "I remember being up in Buffalo and Joe throwing all the interceptions, and then realizing he didn't have to carry the team on his shoulders and throw a bunch of touchdown passes, that he could also rely on the rest of the guys to help out, the defense specifically. I think Joe came of age a little bit that day."

I like Dan and loved the Confidential paper before the internet gave me Jet news everyday but was he born yesterday? This is the Tangini way...why push the issue...again? Maybe it's because Herm is coming to town. Herm was a media dream where Mangini is a...not. Grow up Danny"

My Dad hated football & wouldn't allow it on his T.V. so I listened to the games on the radio in the garage freezing letting my imagination paint great pictures. This was early 70's B-4 spotscenter. So in a way I blame my Dad for making me a fan."

If it doesn't work out then throw them back in.. I believe they will savor the opportunity & make the best of it...Be like another bye for them & fresh in buffalo.. Throw Clemens or Ratty in few playsgive these guys some confidence can't hurt "

This business with the injury report baffles me. Leberfeld does not represent me a a fan of the NY Jets. I hope Mangini gets even more cryptic in reports to come."

I'll tell you what happened Drew as the Jets continue to under perform under Mangini the pressure is going to build with the borish behavior he displays at every turn. No one in the national media or major networks wants anything to do with the team because of this guy and as we continue to lose this nonsense will get magnified. "

I don't think Mangini has the ability to yell at anyone. I wonder if Dan was really bothered by the injury information or if he was just trying to see how far he could get mangini to go."

I am still hoping this will be my year to celebrate. The AFC is so wide open we just have to make the dance. Recent history shows ( Steelers & Giants ) that if you get in you can make noise now. "
