The first full team practices of Eric Mangini's third camp as head coach will be two-a-days on Thursday, July 24, at the Long Island school's soccer stadium. These practices will be open to the public and the media.
Here's the schedule for the first seven days of workouts:
Thursday, July 24 — 2 practices
Friday, July 25 — 1 practice
Saturday, July 26 — 2 practices
Sunday, July 27 — 1 practice
Monday, July 28 — 2 practices (both practices closed to the public)
Tuesday, July 29 — 2 practices
Wednesday, July 30 — 1 practice
The starting times are very similar to Mangini's first two summers at the helm. Two-a-days are scheduled to start at 8:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Single practices will kick off at 1:30 p.m.
Jets rookies begin their orientation eight days earlier, on Wednesday, July 16. Then quarterbacks and injured veterans come in Sunday, July 20. The rest of the Green & White veterans report Wednesday, July 23.
As always, the camp schedule is subject to change. We'll have a calendar for you soon on newyorkjets.com.

We are subsidizing them taking our seats..... 30 years and I am out . Sure for 30 years we could not sell them at a profit they said they would take them from us. Now the can charge $300 each........ No writeoffs for sporting events."

Results more visting team fans will be in the new stadium. And also fans that do keep their tickets will sell more games through Stub Hub or similar sights to recoup some $. PSL's are a reality and its too bad. Bottom line its a business."

Wed, July 2, 2008 - 6:57am ET"Goodell is correct with these rookie contracts and the guaranteed money that is given to players that have never played a down yet in the NFL. I am against the games overseas but Goodell is right about the contracts."

Wed, July 2, 2008 - 3:03pm ET"A PSL is a Personal Seat License: Onetime payments that guarantee the purchaser associated rights to purchase season tickets, and are part of the purchase price for every stadium seat. PSL prices range from $1,000 to $20,000 currently for the Giants. If the Jets do this, I forsee a LOT of empty seats in the new stadium - Esp due to how they handled the LOSS of a midtown NYC stadium. "
Leo Said:
Wed, July 2, 2008 - 3:04pm ET"When is Woody going to send out the KY? He doesn't care about people that have supported the team since 1964. I would like them to put together more wins before I decide to put up my money. He ONLY cares about taking a buck from the fans. I bet he is even going to charge more for the PSL than the Giants do. (DECLINED: OBSCENE REFERENCE TO KY JELLY)"
Leo Said:
Wed, July 2, 2008 - 3:09pm ET"My family has had season tix since 1964 and this PSL will probably spell the end. It is too bad that the next generation of potential Jets fans will never get to go to a game. I will miss the tailgating but the team has usually not been good enough to miss them. They just don't get it. "
JC Said:
Wed, July 2, 2008 - 3:13pm ET"BTW - As a TRUE LIFETIME Jets fan I waited (patiently) for like 10 years or so on the waitlist to get season tix & I just got them this year! wOOt! But, if PSLs go through I fear these may be my last season as well as first.----Randy: Do you know if anyone in Mgmt reads or even acknowledges the fans' concerns RE PSLs as seen here? Without any re-assurance, people will always fear the worst. Thanks!"
Randy Lange Said:
"JC, I can state that Jets management does care about the fans and does acknowledge your concerns."
LA Smitty Otis Said:
Wed, July 2, 2008 - 6:17pm ET"As a season ticket holder as well, one would think that since the stadium is unique where it is in use for all 16 weeks and has more sponsors than most stadiums, sponsorship would offset funding. Ask the Raiders how their PSL tax worked out for them. This is an attrocious thing to to do LOYAL Jets/Giants fans who have endured lousy seasons and still stuck with the teams. "
Chaz Said:
Wed, July 2, 2008 - 6:22pm ET"How is a PSL going to work in a stadium shared by two teams? If there is a concert or other event, who gets the tickets - the Giants fan with the PSL for that seat or the Jets fan with the PSL for that seat? Or does having a PSL not grant rights to concerts, etc. If not, rather than a Personal SEAT License, it should be called Personally SCREWED License."
Tom Said:
Wed, July 2, 2008 - 7:28pm ET"Waited with a friend for 8+ years for Tix, finally got one set this year expect the next set next year in 2010....PSL's i dont like them ,but every team that has done a private funded new stadium uses them. I hope Mr. Johnson does not price me out...like everybody else i have a mortgage, a wife and a family and if it is more than 1k a seat, i WILL GET RID OF MY SEATS."

Wed, July 2, 2008 - 10:32pm ET"I have been going to Jets games for as long as I can remember (1964) I don't know why but the games I remember most were in Shea. The Barkum catch v Miami, The 68 championship game, even the playoff loss in 69. Not really going to miss the Meadowlands much."
Frank Mongiello Said:
Thu, July 3, 2008 - 2:05am ET"As a season ticket holder for 32 years, attending over 95% of all games in that time frame. I am appalled at the prospect of PSLs. I have great seats in the lower section & mezzanine. As I'm now retired I simply won't be able to afford them. Fans who've been loyal for several years should be exempt from PSLs. Who's going to buy them- scalpers & corporations! What about the REAL fans?"
joe b Said:
Thu, July 3, 2008 - 10:22am ET"I hear the word Loyal used in quite a few references. But it is only from the fans, not from the JETS. Why is that ? NFL stands for No Freaking Loyalty. Money baby, it is all about money."
Leo Said:
Thu, July 3, 2008 - 10:47pm ET"If I have to buy a PSL toget my tickets how much of a charge will be added for other events for people sitting in our seats? Also, since the PSL is to pay for the stadium do we get any of the sponsorship money since we own the seats?"
Salmouse Said:
Fri, July 4, 2008 - 10:28am ET"The whole PSL thing is a joke. The Jets will actually be doing me a favor...I can sit home and watch from the comfort of my couch. I can turn the set off when they turn in their usual 6-10 season. I don't have to fight the traffic, pay ridiculous prices for food and drink and put up with the long "security" lines. Just End The Speculation and announce it now! "
MICHELLE Said:
Sat, July 5, 2008 - 4:04pm ET"I can't see the start of a Jets Season without training camp at Hofstra. For as long as I can remember, that is where I would go. As a Long Islander, and a New York Jets fan..what do we have left? We "were" the only True NY team, now we are just like the other one, using the NY name but not doing anything for the NY fans. I am truly upset, my tradition of taking my kids every year are over."
MikeMc Said:
Sun, July 6, 2008 - 10:40am ET"I let my tickets go this year, I had 'em for 15yrs.I was not prepared to pay for PSL under any circumstances. Now that we now Jersey is our home its no longer worth the 2hrs in and 31/2 hrs back."
Another Long Islander Said:
Mon, July 7, 2008 - 7:48am ET"I am also upset about the Jets moving to NJ. Althought they played there, they lived in our neighborhoods, shopped in our storess, ate in our restaurants & worked in our communities. You had a chance to meet them & know them. They were our team. It just won't be the same. "
Bigtime sec 109 Said:
Mon, July 7, 2008 - 1:22pm ET"It's obvious NOBODY cares about the fan. PSL, continuing to share a stadium, moving traing camp to NJ, 4 pre-season games, the parking/tailgating mess -Woody Johnson doesn't want ME or YOU there. It's a joke, and the joke's on us."
Gary Said:
Mon, July 7, 2008 - 1:27pm ET"I have been a ticket holder since 1979...almost 30 years. I only go to a few games a year since they moved to New Jersey. Soon the jets will be leaving Hofstra and will no longer have ties with their initial fan base from Long Island. I was hoping that someday I would leave my kids the season tickets but the PSL has really changed my thinking. Let me know where to send my hats, jersey, etc. "
Jet Fan Said:
Mon, July 7, 2008 - 2:16pm ET"I just like to say goodbye to the New York Jets and Hello to the New Jersey Jets because as soon as they move the New York operation over to New Jersy what ties them to New York Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

JetsWin1 Said:
Wed, July 9, 2008 - 2:34am ET"Hey Woody, be bold and go the opposite direction of the Giants by not charging PSL's or charging much more lower priced ones than they did. No Super Bowls over here to justify gauging the most loyal of your fans."
Frank V Said:
Wed, July 9, 2008 - 10:03am ET"I am a season ticket holder for 15 plus years holding 4 tickets. Are they kidding us with a PSL??? We have to eat 2 pre-season games a year that cost me over $500...just for the right to go to the other games. That is a big enough HIT to us already in my book! The team has been TERRIBLE for years....if you gave us a contender each year it would'nt be as bad."
Michael F. Licata Said:
Tue, July 15, 2008 - 12:03am ET"I am outraged at the prospect of PSL's. It seems that there is no end to the greed that the true fans are subject to. It has been made painfully clear that money is the first and only priority. How much do they need?? Five corporate sponsors are already lined up for the stadium. It is pathetic that the ture fans will be priced right out of the stadium. We haven't even gotten a decent product"
SNAPPY Said:
Fri, July 18, 2008 - 4:27pm ET"PSL's are an absolute slap in face to us season ticket holders. If its not bad enough 1- to be a laughing stock because we play our home games in GIANTS STADIUM. 2- our tickets get raised evry year for a bad product. 3- we have to pay for preseaon games hardly any of us actually go to. 4-we now have to prepay 20 dollars a game for parking 5-it costs $50 yr to stay on the waiting list "
SNAPPY Said:
Fri, July 18, 2008 - 4:34pm ET"CONTINUED: 6-we only get 1 parking pass. I have 4 people coming from all over and now we have to meet on RT 3 before the game. 7-the new stadium is shared by 2 franchises and they still want us to pay PSL 8-not only do they want to charge us for the PSL's they also want to raise the prices of the tickets up to 40% in some cases. "
SNAPPY Said:
Fri, July 18, 2008 - 4:43pm ET"CONTINUED: We have 4 tickets in Sec 114. If the Jets go along with the NYG prices that means we will have to pay $40,000 for the PSL's ($10,000 for each ticket) $5600 for the tickets ($140 each game) $200 for the parking (but I'm sure that will be raised as well) Thats $45,800 we will need to come up with in 2 years to see this wonderful team . Who has that kinda money in todays economy. "
rockdaddio Said:
Sat, July 19, 2008 - 1:11pm ET"All valid points but ...... Who says you have to keep the tickets? I dropped mine about 5 years ago because I had better things to do with my money.
