File Under: Chad Pennington, Thomas Jones, Pete Kendall, full-squad minicamp

06/14 — The New York Jets opened their three-day full-squad minicamp Thursday morning with meetings and, at 10:25, the first of five practices.

Several storylines will emerge in these last sessions before the start of training camp in late July: the continuing development of coordinator Brian Schottenheimer's offense under Chad Pennington in Year 2, the developing tailback balance with Thomas Jones and Leon Washington, the integration of top draft picks Darrelle Revis and David Harris into the defense.

One storyline that will be explored by reporters today is the arrival of No. 66. Pete Kendall, the veteran left guard starter, stayed away from most of the team's off-season strength and conditioning program and all of the OTA practices, but he has reported and is on the field now, doing striding and calisthenics with his teammates, for this mandatory minicamp.

Kendall is expected to talk with reporters on the field at the end of practice around 12:15 p.m. and head coach Eric Mangini will field questions at his news conference beginning at 1:15 p.m.

To keep up with all the stories through Saturday, when the minicamp wraps up, including videos and slideshows, check in with us early and often at newyorkjets.com.

"Hi everyone I'm new to posting comments here. To be honest, I'd rather watch the progress of Revis and Harris than hear about Pete Kendall whine about getting 1.7 million."

" Pete Kendall is going to be very important to this seasons running game. As the late Coach Lombardi said," get a seal here and a seal here, and go straight up North and South." "
