Panthers Inactives: A.J. Feely (3rd QB), CB C.J. Wilson, RB M. Goodson, FB T. Fiammetta, G. Duke Robinson, WR K. Moore, DE C. Johnson & DE H. Taylor.

Lineup Changes

NYJ: E. Smith to start at safety for K. Rhodes.
Panthers: J. Anderson will line up in place of L. Johnson at WLB and rookie S. Martin gets the go at FS instead of C. Godfrey.

What to Look For
RB Thomas Jones needs just 116 yards to reach 1,000 for a fifth consecutive season and third straight as a Jet.
WR Jerricho Cotchery, an NC State alum, needs just four catches to become the 13th Jet to reach 300.

"I was not only impressed with what E. Smith did, but how Rhodes responded as well. Most of that first half I thought we were playing against the 85 Bears defense. That, translates to another slow start by our offense. But it was a nice win and I am happy, and I hope we can maintain it now. Even better, the smelly fish choked one up at Buffalo."

"A win is a win. We'd have a few more if this is how we handled our rookie QB earlier in the season. Again, Mr. Sanchez proves he can be a manager of a game, but nothing yet says he can throw down field or is a 5th overall pick with a major arm or talent. Hey, Spicer did Delhome lose the game? Or was our D superb? "

"Rex did a great job. Ellis' run stop in Carolina's first drive i think set the pace for the "D". Mark is protecting the ball well but they must play better than that to beat the Bills Thursday. Since he throws so well on the run, how come they don't try the moving pocket thing....just a thought."

"Revis was terrorizing. You cant go right at him like that. Best corner in the NFL. Clemens did not look good, He doesn't even hold the clipboard good. I would feel alot better if Ainge was the backup. Sanchez still looks nervous with his quick deliveries. But he's looking better "

"We needed this but overall, I was not impressed. With the ever so slight chance of postseason, a game like this is a guaranteed loss. Let's face it, the game was handed to us on a silver platter. But in typical JETS fashion, it's not over till it's over. If that is what it takes to motivate Rhodes, then so be it. Way to step it up Smith and Leonard. And to Revis, just awesome!"

"Eric Smith is a way more physical than kerry rhodes...Rex, please keep Eric Smith to start...slip in Rhodes here and there but Eric smith has go to stay on the field if you want to stop the run....Revis is a STUD...Sanchez needs to play better..let him make some throws (if he wants to be good next yr)...and involve JCo in the offense..his hands are much more trustworthy than braylon (drop) edwards"

"Amazing you guys jumping on E-Smith bandwagon now after I been calling for him for longest time..Other guy I believe should be playing more is J-Ihegibo hes a big hitter fast & very Strong . "For awhile they looked as bad while winning as while losing but overall there were some bright spots. The color-coding thing for MS just proves how lame Schotty is and how out of it Rex has been offensively -- can you imagine almost any other team admitting to resorting to such stuff? 36 year fan, EA will be the backup next year and maybe the starter if MS doesn't stop making the same mistakes."

"I agree with Mike JV, EA should b 2nd QB. Vince Young got much better since he was benched. McNabb (a vet QB) last year played much better after he was benched. Need I mention Kerry Rhodes? I think EA running a Seminole type O with QB draws & option plays & deep passes would be so unexpected that it would slow opposing Ds that crucial 1/2 step. Desperate times call for desperate measures."

"This game should have been a blowout, but we still have the turnover bug. Keller is playing very poorly. Rhodes responds well, maybe Sanchez could benefit from a lost start. No sign of Miller. Missed a FG, looked poor on offense against a mediocre at best defense. 3 turnovers? We must be better to win out if we're looking at the playoffs. Not happy with what we put on the field. Go Jets"
