10/10 — At this morning's practice, wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) didn't practice for the second day this week and is listed as questionable for the Jets' Monday night game at Miami.
The "questionable" designation means there's a 50/50 chance a player can play his team's upcoming game. The Jets are hopeful to be able to pair Cotchery and newly acquired WR Braylon Edwards in the offense for the first time against the Dolphins.
The other hot-button injury area has been cornerback. Lito Sheppard (quadriceps) worked on a limited basis today and is doubtful for the Dolphins. Donald Strickland (ankle) didn't work and is listed as out for the third straight game. Both were injured in Game 2 against New England.
Two other players didn't participate in practice at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center. T Damien Woody (foot) is questionable, and K Jay Feely, excused for non-injury reasons, is listed as probable.
S Kerry Rhodes (knee) was limited at practice and is questionable for MNF. WR David Clowney returned to practice after missing most of Friday's practice for non-injury reasons.
Miami appears to be in good health, although starting OLB Joey Porter (hamstring) was limited today for the third practice this week and is the only Dolphin listed as questionable for the Jets.

"scjoe, since you asked, I toted up the length of the Jets' first five weekly injury reports for each of the past four seasons. This season's report has averaged 9.8 names a week. The averages under Mangini were: 2006, 11.6 names per week; 2007, 11.2 per week; 2008, 7.2 names."

The team takes a step or 2 ahead & there will always be that JETS luck where they have to take 1 step back - But then again, THIS AINT THE SAME OL JETS, WE'RE NEW & IMPROVED so Goooo JETS hahahahaha HERE WE COME FLIPPER & TUNA"

Shotty's play calling & the O-line need to pick it up If T-J don't get it going again this week put S-Green won't hurt & give him some valuable experience .. I fully expect L-W to get at least 20 touches in this game "

The JETS are gonna squish the fish & grill some ala tuna parcells even w/out J-Co (Mr. D. Keller will have a good game). J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS"

Rex has stated that Miami's run game excels against the 4-3 and really haven't played a prototypical 3-4, let's not forget that they practice against a pretty good one every day. I hope Rex has a surprise or two for them Monday night."

Greene i would love to see more of him out there. i was watching some games from Iowa. He is a monster.Edwards is good so now they have to watch out for him and hes big and can jump up to grab balls.so its definitly open up the running game wich is a plus. TJ,green ,and LM need to make some TD.win"

Mon, October 12, 2009 - 2:56am ET"I couldn't believe those DEN uniforms today either, Ray, having only seen the second edition Bronco wear back in the early '60s. But I gotta say that in a media environment in which anything more than a few years old is either neglected, forgotten, or ridiculed, it's incredibly retro-cool to see today's bigger, better-paid NFL players slugging it out in their ancestors' 16th-century-looking duds."

Sat, October 10, 2009 - 3:48pm ET"It seems as though there are a lot more injuries this year then the past couple under Mangini. I sure hope it is because they are actually listing them now, (Brett) and nothing more. Missing the two DBs should not be to critical this week, but Buffalo, up next week, should be more of a challenge in the passing game, I hope at least one of those two DBs are good to go by then."
