File Under: training camp, Florham Park, Atlantic Health Jets Training Center

08/21 — The Jets got in their buses and cars in Central New York this morning and now they are either back near their North Jersey base of operations or very close to it. (Tweet update from Dig, Chansi and Darrelle: They're baa-aack.)

The Green & White’s Cortland camp phase of the preseason is over. But an important Florham Park phase begins Saturday with the first of three practices open to the public to be held in the next week at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center.

Here is the schedule for tomorrow’s activities:

Parking Lots Open — 9 a.m. (parking is free)

Special Teams Practice — 10:30-10:50 a.m.

Full-Squad Practice — 10:50 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Jets Fest and Jets Shop — Both open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Food and beverages will be available. Other fan components are the Jets Flight Crew cheerleaders signing autographs, a Central Jersey Blood Drive, a schedule poster giveaway by The Record, and the High Point Insurance kids autograph area, open to the first 75 kids to sign up at the welcome tent.

And here is the tentative schedule for the practices to be held next Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 26-27:

Parking Lots Open — 10 a.m. (parking is free)

Special Teams Practice — 11:30-11:50 a.m.

Full-Squad Practice — 11:50 a.m.-2 p.m.

Jets Fest and Jets Shop — Both open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Some thunderstorms are forecast for the area Saturday morning. The practices will be held rain or shine, but if there is lightning or if fields become too wet and unsafe, the Jets could move the practice into their fieldhouse. And any portions of indoors practice would be closed to the public.

So before you head out tomorrow, Wednesday or Thursday, dial up your favorite weather forecaster, check newyorkjets.com, or call the Jets Fan Line at 973-549-4844.

"what do you think? i'm thinking they resigned the free agent qb to be third behind ainge, meaning they've decided they at least might move clemens."

"You guys have got to relax. Most of these injuries are very minor and will happen when practices get a little tougher. Have you ever played sports or always just watched? You need to push yourself and your body will adapt. If you go into a season with light practices your body will not be conditioned for the real thing: hence " Conditioning". Rex will suprise many this season. GO JETS!"

"I agree with vet this time. Offense has been pretty bad. Anyone see how the Rams were beat up by the Falcons? Forget debating who's gonna get on the practice squad, we need to find a playmaker. Where's Leon, Brad Smith, someone needs to show me (the fan) that we are committed to the Offense. IMO besides a few blowout games, we couldn't sustain drives, and were pressed for points. Go Jets "
