06/11 — Despite the overcast skies and the rain in the forecast for North Jersey, we're expecting the rain to hold off for today's fifth and final practice of the Jets' full-squad minicamp at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in Florham Park, N.J.
The practice is set to begin at 10:25 a.m. on the outside fields and will be open to the public. The gates to the Jets training facility will open at 9:30 a.m.
Unlike the previous two days of the minicamp, no afternoon practice is scheduled today. This morning's practice will be the last time you'll be able to see the Jets until they open training camp at SUNY Cortland in late July.

He set a couple of ground rules. 1- he will not be intimidated 2- we are coming out with some fire 3 - our goal is to beat you physically. He can talk all he wants because his team will have to back it up. His team! Our team! will have to come out and smack some peeps and bust some heads. Then again, i couldve misunderstd"

Thu, June 11, 2009 - 3:45pm ET" I have no problem with Rex's comments he said what he believes & I believe him .. The man knows Defences think we all can agree to that he has developed top Ds year after year .. Next why are we giving away large amounts of money & Leon hasn't been settled with yet ? whats next S - Green hold out ..Time to get our priorities in order the MS story would have played out without rushing it "

Thu, June 11, 2009 - 6:00pm ET"why should Rex or the JETS back down from anyone in the league, I am fine with what Rex said to Crowder I live down here in South Florida and I can tell you first hand the smack talk that the Fish talk about Us, they hate the Jets and are not afraid to let it loose, so hats off to Rex and the Jets will hand the Fish there LOSS in Nov, and cant wait to wipe the smerk of Belicheck and TB'S face also"
Channing Crowder Said:
Fri, June 12, 2009 - 9:40am ET" Mr. Ryan please accept my apology, I was out of line. If you would please ask your dad to remove the bounty I would be appreciative. Respectfully Yours , C. Crowder"

Fri, June 12, 2009 - 8:43pm ET"Sam, while I agree Sanchez took very little hits, he will be fine on that half of the deal. 4 games with 4TD's, one with 5, 9 games with 200+ yards. We were always complaining about chewing gum, and taking losses like sissies. Rex can say whatever he wants, we WILL be physical, we WILL win games. But can we run the ball with an inconsistent passing game? That is the real question!"

Sun, June 14, 2009 - 5:27pm ET"Well, everything is in place...Let the QB battle begin!!The jets have made it clear who they want to QB the team. We'll better know what Mr. Sanchez can do when the weather get nippy, the air gets heavy and he has to the into the eyes of charging big uglies....until then....make him earn it Kellen. Make him earn it."

Tue, June 16, 2009 - 1:58pm ET"If the QB battle is a genuine battle, then just because KC is making 8.5 million with 'very little' NFL experience, he shouldn't be granted the job. Same with MS and his 10 million with 'no NFL' experience. Ainge has more NFL experience than MS. He's got a better, taller, quicker gun than the two shorter QB's. Even though he's only making $400-k is a very good reason to give him a shot; INCENTIVE!"
Hogan Said:
Wed, June 17, 2009 - 11:06am ET"Ranger46, GIVE IT UP ALLREADY. We get it OK. You like Ainge because he is tall. Unfortunatly thats one of his only good points."
Row Said:
Wed, June 17, 2009 - 1:29pm ET"Although I like Ainge, I feel he's more suited for a dink and dunk west coast style offense. We will see very little of him, if any, because Sanchez will take all of the preseason snaps. Wayne, you make a very valid point, not many cold games in southern California.. I am all for starting Kellen, THE WHOLE SEASON! Bring in Reggie Williams, he could be twice the receiver Burress is/was. Go Jets"
