Mr. J, Mike T Will Talk With Grimm in the Desert

File Under: Mike Tannenbaum, Woody Johnson, Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, Russ Grimm, Hogs

As a followup to my most recent Radar entry this afternoon, one of those six interviews that the Jets will have this week with head-coaching candidates will be with an old Hog.

Russ Grimm, the Arizona Cardinals, assistant head coach/offensive line and the longtime Washington Redskins guard, will interview with a Jets contingent that will include owner Woody Johnson and GM Mike Tannenbaum in the P… More

Busy Week Ahead: Six Interviews Set

File Under: Mike Tannenbaum, Woody Johnson, Brian Schottenheimer, Rex Ryan, Bill Callahan, Eric Allen, Jay Glazer, Jets Two-Minute Drive

It's Week 2 and the Jets' head-coaching interview process will ratchet up. We're hearing that owner Woody Johnson this week will conduct interviews with six candidates for the job opening.

Two of them will be Johnson's first interviews with the Jets' in-house candidates, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer on Tuesday and assistant head coach/offensive line Bill Callahan on Wednesday.

This Monday After Is Tougher Than Usual

File Under: Mike Tannenbaum, Eric Mangini, Woody Johnson, Jerricho Cotchery, Brandon Moore, Brett Favre, Kris Jenkins, Phillip Merling

It's tough from the… More

Calling it a Career? Favre Not Ready to Say

File Under: Chad Pennington, Eric Mangini, Kerry Rhodes, Leon Washington, Miami Dolphins, Brett Favre, Alan Faneca

The Jets' Meadowlands locker had the hushed tones of a funeral parlor, and in a way it was. The players are all still very much alive, but they won't be kicking — or catching or throwing or running or blocking — into the postseason because the collective Jets body came to rest in Week 17 at the Meadowlands with its fourth loss in five games and its playoff opportunities deceased.

Jets-Dolphins: Second Half

File Under: Chad Pennington, Jerricho Cotchery, Leon Washington, Abram Elam, Brett Favre, Brandon Fields, Patrick Cobbs, Anthony Fasano

The Jets get a gift at the top of the second half almost as generous as the one they gave the Dolphins at the end of the first half. Long-snapper John Denney sails his punt snap over Brandon Fields' head at midfield, so the hosts begin their first drive of the final 30 minutes from the 'Fins 28.

And after two misfires, Brett Favre, Leon Washington and Jerricho Cotchery cash in the present with e… More
