Bye Week Goals: Improve, Recharge

Eric Mangini revealed the Jets' bye week practice schedule, which will have the players practicing today and Wednesday, then taking off until Monday.

"Today we'll work on first and second down, tomorrow will be more of a third-down emphasis," the coach said at today's morning news conference. "Then the guys get a break and come back Monday, when there'll be a red area/goal line emphasis."

Chatman Returns; Graham Released Again

Head coach Eric Mangini had several housekeeping matters to discuss at the top of today's afternoon news conference. First on the list: Jesse Chatman's four-game NFL suspension is over.

"Jesse will be able to work through the week with an exemption," Mangini said. "Starting next week, we'll have to make some kind of decision in terms of the roster."

Perfect Day to Picture the 2008 Team

If you went by the sky, there was kind of a Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse feel to today's team photo. Even though the sun poked out here and there, it was hiding behind a long patch of overcast shortly after noon as the players, coaches and the rest of the support staff began climbing the small yet sturdy gray bleachers.

Jets-Cardinals: Second Half
