Clemens Might As Well Jump

File Under: Marques Tuiasosopo, Sean Ryan, Mike Nugent, Kellen Clemens

There was a little different flavor to the camp practice early Tuesday evening. Early on it was physical, as blocking was being emphasized on kickoff returns. Midway through, the Jets shed some pads and finished the rest of the workout in shells. And the defense continued its yapping at the offense, with Justin Miller vocal and Eric Barton at one point (playfully) spiking the ball at Chad Penningt… More

The Jets today remembered Bill Walsh, the legendary head coach of the dominant San Francisco 49ers teams of the 1980s who died of leukemia Monday.

Offense Down, Then Up in the Morning

File Under: Eric Mangini, Eric Barton, Chris Baker, Leon Washington, live goal line

Tuesday's morning training camp could be called the fall and rise of the Jets' offense.

All offensive units were having their struggles through the first half of practice. Eric Barton was flying around and jawing away at his O-mates. DE Kenyon Coleman was showing some quick feet inside along with his big body. Rookie LB David Harris popped and dropped RB Alvin Banks. David Bowens smelled out a pl… More

Defense Turns the Tables

File Under: david, david, Barrett, Harris, Jason, kellen, clemens, Trusnik

Perhaps the Jets' defenders had heard enough about Chad Pennington's aerial assault on Sunday because the tables were turned Monday.  Bob Sutton's unit carried the play in the Green & White's only workout of the day.

Along the line, rookie Jason Trusnik, a 6'4", 250-pound undrafted free agent, displayed his pass rushing skills against D'Brickashaw Ferguson.  Trusnik, a two-time Division III All… More
